When tracing Uproot Hootenanny back to its infancy in 2007, the two venues that are undoubtedly cemented in the historical archives are The Irishmen in Boca Raton and The Village Pump in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. The core, or “roots” members formed a musical bond and friendship over copious pints of the black stuff and flurries of Jameson shots while exploring their love for music and craic.
As the world stretches and yawns its way into its post Covid “new beginning”, Uproot Hootenanny will be celebrating its early days by Brian and Brian (and hootenanny family) throughout the summer by performing bi-monthly sets at the Irishmen, as well as weekly Thursday sets at The Village Pump, Saturday afternoons at Papa’s Raw Bar and Sunday early evening sets at Tim Finnegans who have also been there from the very early days of the band. Hope to see you there! Off we go!
